The first Sunday in February we participated in an initiative called SOUPer Bowl Sunday. The youth group stars made signs, banged pots, and collected more than $600 in donations from the three services. Donations were sent to both ELCA and UCC disaster relief to be used in Haiti.

In addition, alongside the Sunday school kids and members of both congregations, we served at Feed My Starving Children. We packed a TON of meals, and had sore feet and full hearts. A great turnout, a great effort, a great cause.

The Salem Youth will partner with the youth group from Parkway United Church of Christ in north Minneapolis.

Saturday, April 3 - "Making Cinnamon Rolls"

We're making cinnamon rolls and providing fruit once again to celebrate Easter! We're planning to mix, knead, and let rise from 1 till it's done.
